Evaluating Websites
Teaching students how to verify if a source is credible or not is a vital skill. This can be difficult for younger children in the elementary grades, but it must be learned before they advance to upper grades. It will help them become informed and global citizens of the world. Here is a worksheet that can be given to elementary students. Have them pick a topic they are interested in and ask them to find an article about it after discussing search methods with them. Once they find their article, instruct them to answer these questions and decide if the source they chose would actually be helpful in their research. Download the PDF here!
